REGISTRATION INFORMATION, TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RED CURTAIN THEATRE'S YOUTH MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP AND PRODUCTION OF ALADDIN KIDS
REGISTRATION: This workshop is for ages 8-12. Registration will be available online from December 17, 2022, through January 6, 2023, or until registration is full, and will be on a first come, first serve basis. A limited number of spots are available for this workshop. Once the workshop is full, a waiting list will be established. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL AND BY PROCEEDING YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. SHOULD SPOTS BECOME AVAILABLE, THEY WILL BE FILLED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS ACCORDING TO THE WAITING LIST.
REGISTRATION FEES: The registration fee for this workshop is $275. The registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact us at info@redcurtaintheatre.com.
AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Red Curtain Theatre in Downtown Conway (913 W Oak Street, across the street from the Chamber of Commerce). You will schedule an audition as part of the registration process. Every participant will be cast, auditions are for role placement only.
AUDITION PREPARATION: An email will be sent by January 1 with song selections that your child may choose from for their audition. The song they select will need to be memorized. They will sing along with an accompanist during their audition. They may also be asked to do a cold reading during their audition. Everyone will also learn a short dance sequence with our choreographer.
REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be Saturdays from 9am-1pm beginning January 14. Rehearsals will be held at Red Curtain Theatre in Downtown Conway (913 W Oak Street, across the street from the Chamber of Commerce). The final dress/tech rehearsal will be Saturday, February 25 from 9am-1pm in the Conway Junior High School auditorium.

TICKETS: You will be notified when tickets go on sale. Tickets may be purchased online at redcurtaintheatre.com or at the door.
REFUND POLICY: If you chose for your child to not continue after the first rehearsal, you may request a refund of your registration fee. Please note that $50 of the registration fee is non-refundable due to materials that will have already been purchased for your child. Once we begin the second rehearsal, no refunds will be issued.,
ATTENDANCE POLICY: Attendance at rehearsals is extremely important when preparing for such a large production and we encourage each participant to be at every rehearsal if possible. A participant may miss two rehearsals before being removed from the workshop. Exceptions to this rule due to extenuating circumstances are at the discretion of the director. If your child is removed due to attendance issues, the registration fee will not be reimbursed.
ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR POLICY: Red Curtain Theatre's mission is to provide an atmosphere that nurtures and inspires actors of all ages by offering performance opportunities through community theatre, youth workshops, private instruction, and dance. Negative attitudes and/or behavior will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to the use of foul language, disrespect toward the director, crew, volunteers and/or cast members, bullying, teasing and unwillingness to participate. The director has the option to remove your child from the workshop due to poor attitude and/or behavior as determined by the director. If there is a situation where behavior and/or attitude is determined to be a problem, you will be notified once within 24 hours after rehearsal. If the situation does not improve by the following rehearsal, your child will not be allowed back. If your child is removed from our workshop due to negative attitude or behavior, the registration fee will not be reimbursed.
