Why chose Broadway Dance Academy at Red Curtain Theatre?
Broadway Dance Academy at Red Curtain Theatre is proud to offer dance classes that cater to both pre-professional and recreational students ages 3 through adult. We provide exceptional training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, and Musical Theatre Dance. Our goal is to create well-rounded, outstanding dancers, while inspiring their creativity and encouraging them to push themselves to become extraordinary performers.
When do dance classes begin?
Our spring semester will begin Monday, January 11 and end Friday, May 7. There will be no classes the week of March 22-26.
How will I know about class placement?
Class placement will remain the same as the fall semester unless you have been notified otherwise by your instructor. If you are a new or former student and need help with class placement, please contact us at 501-396-9679 or at email@example.com.
How do I access online classes?
All classes will livestreamed through Zoom and can be accessed through our website at redcurtaintheatre.com. If you do not already have an account on our website, you will receive an email allowing you to set up a username and password. Once logged in to the website, you can click MY ACCOUNT to view your class pages.
Will you offer any daytime classes this fall?
Yes! This spring we will offer Adult Ballet classes and Adult Tap classes in both the daytime and in the evening. We also have a Homeschool combination dance class during the day.
What if I miss a live class?
All live classes will be recorded and available to access online the following day.
Can I enroll in classes even if I don't live in Central Arkansas?
Absolutely!! You are welcome to join us through Zoom from any part of the world.
What kind of floor should I dance on at home?
We highly recommend purchasing or making a dance floor for your use at home. Having a proper floor on which to dance allows a safe, sturdy, and suitable platform to accommodate any style of dance. Proper dance floors prevent slipping when turning or jumping. Tap is also easier, as sounds are accentuated and your floors at home do not suffer damage. Based on your budget and preferences, there are many resources available online to purchase dance floors or tutorials to make your own for as little as $10! If I'm dancing from home, can I just dance in my pajamas?
We do love dancing in our pajamas around the house! However, during class we expect students to adhere to the dress code. This ensures that instructors will be able to see each student's alignment and positioning. Baggy clothing can mask bad habits, making improvement difficult or even causing injury. Following the dress code also eliminates distractions and creates cohesiveness. The dress code can be found here.
Why does tuition look different this semester?
As a result of the COVID pandemic, families are continuing to face many challenges, including financial hardships. One way we hope to help with this is by lowering class tuition and streamlining the tuition rates. With our new tuition structure, 30 minute classes are $25/month, 45 minute classes are $35/month, 60 minute classes are $45/month, or you can register for unlimited classes for $200/month. We have also elected to waive the annual registration fee this year. The purpose for this is to allow families to put that money toward the purchase of or creation of a proper dance floor for home use. We do not want finances to prohibit anyone from being able to pursue their artistic aspirations. How do I pay tuition?
Tuition is billed by invoice and delivered by email to the email address used during registration, unless we are notified otherwise. You can click on your invoice to pay it manually online or you may set up automatic payments. Invoices will be emailed and automatic payments run the 15th of each month. Monthly tuition for the spring semester will be billed in January, February, March, and April. You may elect to pay for in full for the fall semester and receive a 5% discount. There are several other discounts that may be applicable; however, discounts may not be combined.
