READY, SET, ACT!
This beginning acting camp is for kids just getting their feet wet on the stage. Kids will be introduced to acting at a foundational level and will become familiar with what it takes to put on a play. They will master monologues, audition prep, cold readings, and theatrical lingo. Older kids will have an additional focus on character development and scene work.
JUNE 27 - JULY 1 (Ages 7-12) Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm Showcase Friday at 1pm $150 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORJOHNNY PASSMORE is thrilled to be encouraging young people to love acting as much as he does. Johnny is a gifted and talented enrichment teacher at Eastside Elementary school in Greenbrier and has been on stage and screen all around central Arkansas. He is currently finishing his master's degree in gifted education at UALR where many of his studies have revolved around early talent development in theater, teaching gifted students theater, and creativity. Johnny can be found on stage this summer as Professor Harold Hill in Red Curtain Theatre's production of The Music Man. You may have also recently seen him on stage in the Argenta Community Theater's production of Brigadoon as Jeff or on commercials for Joe Machen's Volkswagen (he's the one that eats the fire), but don't worry he won't be teaching that at this camp!

ADVANCED ACTING
Through scene work and exercises, actors will learn cold reading techniques, how to quickly analyze scripts and scenes for character development, on -camera techniques for film and commercial work, improvisation, proper actor resume structure, headshot dos and don'ts, and more. This workshop is designed to take actors to the next level of performance.
JULY 11 - 15 (Ages 13-18) Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm Showcase Friday 1pm $150 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORWARREN McCULLOUGH spent his early career in Los Angeles where he starred in national TV commercials such as Jaguar, Bud Light, Natural Light, Zicam and GoodYear. He has worked alongside stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Molly Sims and Steve Carell. He has acted in over twenty films, dozens of plays and has appeared on The Chelsea Handler Show and on the pages of Glamour, Blender and People magazines. He worked on television sets such as E.R., Entourage, Crossing Jordan, and The Young & The Restless and also movie sets such as He's Just Not That Into You and Yes, Man. While in L.A., Warren studied acting at the Anita Jesse Studio under the critically acclaimed acting teacher Anita Jesse. He also studied with acting coach to the stars, Margie Haber. Margie has served as a personal acting coach to actors such as Halle Berry, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon. Warren was recently nominated for Best Actor for his leading role in the film "The God Particle" which was one of only twenty films to be selected to the prestigious Louisiana Film Prize Film Festival. Warren grew up in Thayer, MO, and Salem, AR, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater from Lyon College in Batesville, AR.

THE ART OF COMEDY
This fun and unique camp will immerse actors in the world of... you guessed it, comedy! Both beginning and advanced actors will explore improv, sketch comedy, and comedic movement in an effort to become more confident finding their inner comic, feel comfortable on stage, and help them have more fun in their theatrical endeavors.
AUGUST 1 - 5 (Ages 10-18) Monday - Friday, 9am - 1pm Showcase Friday 1pm $150 ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORMICHAEL GOODBAR is thrilled to be joining the Red Curtain Theatre family this summer to help young performers navigate through the world of theatrical comedy. He is currently the Technical Director at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock and sits on the Board of Directors at the Studio Theatre. Michael has has also worked as the Director of Theatre at a non-profit arts academy. He has previously been seen on stage as Mark in Rent, Sir Robin in Spamalot, and most recently as the Baker in Into the Woods, along with many others roles. He has also been a member of the Red Octopus Theater Company for six years now and has performed in over 30 shows with the group. This summer he jumps into the role of Lonny Barnett in the regional premiere of Rock of Ages!
