DANCE ETIQUETTE & EXPECTATIONS
ATTENDANCE
Consistent attendance is crucial for real progress. If you want to become a successful dancer, you will need discipline. Dancers must use good time management skills to ensure they don't miss classes.
TARDINESS
Dancer must arrive at class on time. If a student Is more than ten minutes late, the dancer will sit and watch the class. The first ten minutes are crucial warm up time. Warm up exercises prevent injuries.
DRESS CODE
Our dress code will be strictly enforced. A reminder will be sent home after the first and second dress code violations. A third violation will require the dancer to sit and watch the class.
NO TALKING
No talking during instruction unless prompted by the instructor. Talking means that you are not hearing what the instructor is saying. Listening carefully is a critical part of the learning experience.
NO CELL PHONES
Cubbies are provided in each studio for students to place their belongings, including cell phones. Cell phones in pockets alter a dancer's balance. If a student's smartwatch becomes a distraction, the instructor will ask that it be removed.
RESPECT
All students should have respect for their instructors and classmates. They should listen when their instructor corrects another student as the suggestion may also apply to them. Students should NOT correct each other. Disciplinary action due to lack of respect will be taken If deemed necessary.
