RCT INTERMISSION
Dear RCT Friends, Families, and Patrons,
We had such exciting plans for our 2020 season. By far, it was going to be our biggest season yet, with twelve productions and our second annual Encore in the Alley fundraiser. It was ambitious, no doubt, but we were ready for the challenge and eager for all we had planned.
(ENTER COVID)
We didn't see the plot twist that was ahead. We were blissfully unaware that the months we spent planning and preparing for our 2020 season could end up in vain. We never suspected that we would find ourselves halfway through our season, having only made it through two productions and with no idea what our future would look like. But here we are.
I wish more than anything I could tell you what the next few months or even the next year is going to look like for Red Curtain Theatre, but I can't. I wish I could tell you when we will get to be back together in person, singing, dancing, acting, performing, but I can't. Here's what I can tell you: We aren't giving up. We are going to continue to adjust and adapt and do our very best to create opportunities to INSPIRE. CREATE. PERFORM. just as we always have.
As of today, the rest of our planned 2020 season is postponed indefinitely. This includes our productions of Miscast, Forever Plaid, Beauty & the Beast Jr, The Sound of Music, A... My Name is Alice, Aristocats Kids, The Rocky Horror Show, Rent High School Edition, Frozen Jr, and Frozen Kids. We are researching virtual performance opportunities and streaming options for productions and will continue to do so for as long as we believe it to be the safest option for our community.
We are beyond grateful to each and every person who has continued to support us through this difficult season with messages of encouragement and generous gifts of financial support. Those who know us best know that we are dreamers at heart, and we will continue working to keep the dream of RCT alive. Thank you for dreaming right alongside us.
Love, light, and good health to you all,
Kristen Sherman
