THE MUSIC MAN AUDITION INFORMATION
AUDITIONS: Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 29, at Red Curtain Theatre in Downtown Conway (913 W Oak Street). Call backs, if needed, will be held Sunday, April 30. Please be aware that not all who audition are guaranteed a part.
AUDITION PREPARATION: Please prepare 32 bars of a song from The Music Man or in a similar style to the show. Below are some options from The Music Man you man select from if you wish. Please note that if you choose to sing one of the songs below in a different key, you will need to bring sheet music in the correct key. Please bring your sheet music clearly marked. An accompanist will be provided. No a cappella auditions will be seen.
You may be asked to read from the sides below during your audition. These are available for your review and do not need to be memorized, but it is helpful to be familiar with them.
At your audition, you will be taken in groups into the dance studio to learn a short dance sequence with our choreographer. You can expect the audition process to last approximately 30-45 minutes.
